Apple Valley (trfnews.i234.me) – A 20-year-old Minneapolis man, Ibrahim Ali Mohamed, is now facing attempted murder and first-degree assault charges after he allegedly shot another man in the face during a violent dispute at Kelley Park on May 10.

According to the Dakota County criminal complaint, Mohamed fired approximately 10 rounds with a “peanut butter-colored” P80 9mm handgun — one of which struck the victim in the face, causing critical, life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded around 9 p.m. after frantic 911 calls described a man in a white hoodie and ski mask chasing people with a gun. Police say Mohamed came to the park looking for his sister and confronted someone before pulling a gun, hitting people, and then opening fire.

As the victim arrived — reportedly after hearing a death threat over the phone — a female screamed, “he’s gonna shoot you!” Moments later, the victim was struck in the face and rushed to the hospital.

His injuries included severe facial trauma, jaw fractures, and chest lacerations. Mohamed was later linked to the weapon via social media videos showing him flashing firearms days before the shooting.
