Minneapolis, Hennepin County (trfnews.i234.me) – An 18-year-old from Las Vegas, Dijon Jacquez Davis, is wanted for attempted second-degree murder after a brutal ambush and shooting inside a downtown Minneapolis apartment stairwell on June 10.
According to police, Davis waited behind a stairwell door at the Currie Avenue West complex as the victim walked with a woman. Surveillance footage shows Davis rushing out, pistol-whipping, beating, and forcing the man down the stairs at gunpoint before shooting him in the back near the parking garage. The victim remains in critical condition.
The woman, 19, who lives in the building, admitted to luring the victim there, knowing Davis intended to confront him. Police later found two shell casings near the scene.
Davis has not been captured. Authorities have issued a nationwide warrant and warn that he is armed and dangerous. If convicted, Davis faces up to 20 years in prison.
