Becker County (trfnews.i234.me) – Raymond Joseph Lacina, 80, of Owatonna, Minnesota, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct after admitting to the molestation of two children at a lake cabin.
The assaults occurred during the summers of 2016–2018 at a family cabin on Big Sugar Bush Lake. In April 2019, Lacina was confronted by the family and admitted to “inappropriate behavior.” The children were later formally interviewed at the Midwest Children’s Resource Center in October 2023.
On May 22, 2025, Judge Michelle W. Lawson sentenced Lacina to 36 months in prison, stayed for 10 years, with 120 days split between electronic home monitoring and county jail time. A fifth-degree charge was dropped in a plea deal.

-
Complete outpatient sex offender treatment
-
Undergo polygraph tests
-

-
Follow psychosexual evaluation recommendations
He was also fined $1,085 and placed on supervised probation for 10 years.
