St. Louis County (trfnews.i234.me) – Authorities in St. Louis County are investigating a deadly fire in Genesee Township, located north of Duluth, where a body was discovered at the scene.
The fire occurred on Monday evening, with firefighters responding to a fully engulfed building at around 1:00 p.m. Due to the severity of the fire, one individual was reported as unaccounted for. Firefighters struggled with extreme conditions, making rescue attempts impossible.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., investigators located the remains of what is believed to be a 76-year-old man from Duluth. While the identity of the deceased is not yet confirmed, authorities are working to identify the victim through further investigation.
The fire department and investigators are treating the case as an active investigation, with more details to be released as they become available.
