Otter Tail County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A woman convicted of child endangerment after leaving an infant in a ditch while heavily intoxicated has been sentenced in Otter Tail County.
Anastasia Vaughn was sentenced to 45 days in custody, but will serve the time through 492 hours of community service. She also received two years of supervised probation and was fined $500.
The disturbing incident occurred on October 29, 2024, when police responded to a report of an infant found lying in a ditch, with a witness saying they saw Vaughn running from the scene. Authorities later confirmed her blood alcohol concentration was .229, nearly three times the legal driving limit.
Vaughn was found guilty of child endangerment, classified as a gross misdemeanor in Minnesota, punishable by up to 364 days in jail and/or a $3,000 fine.
