Itasca County (trfnews.i234.me) – A wild night of crime and chaos has led to felony charges against Timothy Adam Chambers, 26, of Cottage Grove, MN, who is now facing five felonies in Itasca County District Court, including armed first-degree burglary and motor vehicle theft.
On May 25, 2025, Keewatin police responded to a domestic assault report. Though the victim initially denied Chambers’ presence, she later revealed he had assaulted her and fled through a basement exit. Later that night, officers were dispatched again when Chambers returned, banging on windows.
By dawn, Chambers allegedly stole a Dodge Ram from Pengilly and left behind a BMW loaded with stolen tools and a Coach purse, linked to nearby residents. He also reportedly took a loaded Sig Sauer 380 handgun from a garage.
Grand Rapids police spotted the stolen truck around 5:15 a.m., initiating a chase exceeding 100 mph. Chambers reportedly drove through construction zones, a bike path, and multiple stop signs before abandoning the truck and fleeing on foot. He was arrested near the Central Square Mall.
Chambers has multiple past convictions for vehicle theft and fleeing police, and prosecutors intend to introduce those at trial.
