NARRATIVE:
A 2021 Toyota Tacoma was southbound on 154th Ave SE just west of Casselton. A Burlington
Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) train was traveling westbound on the rail line. Bauer failed to yield
and attempted to cross the railroad tracks. The BNSF train struck the front of the Toyota
causing it to spinout, strike a crossbucks sign and come to final rest facing south to the
northwest of the crossing. Bauer incurred serious injuries and was taken to Sanford Hospital,
Fargo.
