Cass County, ND (trfnews.i234.me)Scott Roger Tweten of Fargo has been charged with felony aggravated assault following a disturbing incident at a local Motel 6. On May 22nd, Fargo police responded to reports of a disturbance at the motel located at 1202 36th Street.

Upon arrival, officers were informed by the receptionist of a commotion involving a male and female guest. As they approached the room, they heard screams for help. Tweten opened the door, revealing a woman lying on the floor, repeatedly stating she needed help and that she felt numb from the neck down. She also expressed severe neck pain and an inability to feel the right side of her body. Broken beer bottles were observed in the room, and the victim admitted to consuming a significant amount of alcohol. She was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

Tweten has been charged with Aggravated Assault – Domestic Violence – Permanent Loss or Impairment, a felony that carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 16.
