Arthur Township, Kanabec County (trfnews.i234.me) – On Friday, May 30, 2025, at approximately 4:28 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 23 and Harbor Street in Arthur Township, Kanabec County. The incident involved a 1997 Ford F250 and a 2013 Buick Regal.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Ford F250, driven by 84-year-old Russell Alden Bloomdahl of Watertown, was traveling eastbound on Highway 23 when it collided with the Buick Regal, operated by 44-year-old Jamie Rochelle Mikush of Pine City. Mikush was attempting to turn westbound onto Highway 23 from Harbor Street. Bloomdahl’s 82-year-old wife, Karen Lyn Bloomdahl, who was a passenger in the Ford F250, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Welia Health in Mora for treatment. Both drivers were uninjured. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.
Emergency response teams from the Kanabec County Sheriff’s Department and Welia Ambulance assisted at the scene.
