Hibbing, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — One person was hospitalized following a dramatic Friday night apartment fire in Hibbing, Minnesota.

According to sources close to the Northland Firewire, firefighters from four Iron Range departments—Hibbing, Chisholm, Keewatin, and Virginia—rushed to the scene around 11:10 p.m. at a building in the 3200 block of 7th Avenue East.

Upon arrival, emergency crews encountered heavy smoke and flames billowing from a second-floor apartment. Thanks to a rapid response, firefighters were able to bring the fire under control before it spread further throughout the structure.

One individual was transported to Hibbing Hospital for treatment due to smoke inhalation. Fortunately, all other residents of the building were safely evacuated without further injuries.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office has launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze, which remains undetermined as of this report.

Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
