Norman County (trfnews.i234.me)On the evening of Thursday, April 17, 2025, off-duty Norman County Deputy Christopher Lee, 41, was seriously injured near the intersection of County Highway 29 and 460th Street, approximately nine miles east of Twin Valley, Minnesota.

According to the Norman County Sheriff’s Office, Lee was assisting his dog, Quinn, who had been struck by a vehicle. While attending to Quinn, Lee was hit by a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 21-year-old Jaiden Bartz of Twin Valley.

Lee sustained multiple injuries, including broken vertebrae, a broken arm, a fractured pelvis, a ruptured bladder, and extensive road rash. He was airlifted to a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota, where he remains hospitalized.

Both drivers involved remained at the scene and are cooperating with the Minnesota State Patrol, which is leading the ongoing investigation.
