Griggs County (trfnews.i234.me) — The child pornography case against former Midkota Schools superintendent Ryan Wayne Baron and Aaron Doss of Fargo continues to develop as Baron’s trial has now been officially pushed back from May to October 7th.

Meanwhile, Doss has accepted a plea deal, though a sentencing date has not yet been set.

For background, the disturbing case first made headlines in June 2024 when it was moved to federal court. Baron was initially charged in district court on child pornography counts, with Doss later charged for promoting the sexual performance of a juvenile female in Fargo. Court documents allege that Doss shared explicit images with Baron and the two discussed potential plans involving the child.

The federal indictment filed June 6th outlines grave accusations, including the attempted sexual exploitation of a child and the receipt and possession of child sexual abuse materials.

We will continue to follow this case as more details emerge.
