Goodhue County (trfnews.i234.me) – A shocking crash occurred on April 10, 2025, at the intersection of MN Hwy 56 and Goodhue County 9 Blvd. A 2014 Infiniti Q60, driven by 45-year-old Kelly Anne Rasmusson of Kenyon, MN, was heading north on MN Hwy 56 when it collided with a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 43-year-old Ahmed Omar Yusuf from Rochester, MN, who was traveling west on Goodhue County 9 Blvd. The collision resulted in life-threatening injuries for both drivers, who were transported to local healthcare facilities. Thankfully, the passenger in the Infiniti, 18-year-old Carter Daniel Elverud, also from Kenyon, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred in dry road conditions, and airbag deployment in both vehicles prevented further injury. Local agencies, including the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, Kenyon Police Department, and Northfield Ambulance, responded to the scene. No alcohol was involved in the incident, and both vehicles were equipped with seat belts.
