FORDVILLE, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A 69-year-old motorcyclist from Inkster, North Dakota, was seriously injured on the evening of September 14, 2024, after a deer darted onto North Dakota Highway 32. The incident occurred near mile marker 178, approximately 5 miles southwest of Fordville, around 7:58 PM CDT.

Riding a 2010 Triumph RS, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when a deer unexpectedly entered the roadway from the west, striking the motorcycle. Despite the sudden impact, the driver managed to maintain control of the bike, which eventually came to a stop in the northbound lane.

Emergency services, including the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Walsh County Sheriff’s Office, Fordville Fire & Rescue, and Park River Ambulance, responded to the scene. The rider, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks for medical treatment.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and no further details about the driver’s condition have been released at this time.
