White Earth Reservation & Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) – A devastating Fourth of July has rocked communities in northern Minnesota after two tragic fireworks incidents left one young life lost and another man seriously injured.
In Naytahwaush, located on the White Earth Reservation, two tribal members have confirmed that a juvenile died following a fireworks explosion during Independence Day celebrations. Authorities in Mahnomen County say a news release with further details is expected later today.
Meanwhile, in Polk County, just after 10:00 p.m., emergency responders were called to Maple Lake, where an adult male suffered a serious arm injury in a separate fireworks-related incident.
These tragic events serve as a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers associated with fireworks, especially during holiday festivities. More updates will be shared as official reports are released.
