24-year-old Man Arrested After Duluth Stabbing — MNCRIME.com

Duluth police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a stabbing Thursday afternoon.

Lewis Barney remains in custody as of publication at the St. Louis County Jail, where he faces pending charges of first-degree assault.

Authorities responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 12:22 p.m. on January 9 in the 100 block of East 3rd Street. When they arrived, officers discovered one person with a stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Mayo Ambulance and their current condition has not been disclosed.

Police confirmed that all involved in the incident were detained and said there’s no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active and additional details are expected when formal charges are filed. A booking photo for Barney was not available at the time of publication.
