Round Prairie Township, Todd County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Monday, May 26, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., a serious single-vehicle accident occurred on eastbound Highway 287 near Milepost 9 in Round Prairie Township, Todd County. A 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by 23-year-old Carlos Jose Bonilla Jimenez of Melrose, MN, lost control and rolled into the ditch.
Emergency responders from Long Prairie Fire, Police, and Ambulance, along with Life Link and the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, arrived at the scene. Bonilla Jimenez, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the crash. Authorities have indicated that alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
