A man in Minnesota was scammed out of $160,000 in a tractor scam. The victim found two tractors on Facebook Marketplace from a dealership in Ohio and wired the money to the seller, who then stopped responding to the victim. The local law enforcement agency in Ohio informed the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department that the dealership had been closed for several years and had been involved in other fraudulent activities. The investigator from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department was able to recover $158,694.85 for the victim through combined efforts.
