Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — Carlina Headbird of Bena is facing felony theft charges following an incident at the JCPenney store in Bemidji. According to court documents, on May 14th at 4:26 p.m., Headbird allegedly tried on a ring valued at $1,100 and fled the store without paying.

Two days later, on May 16th at 5:15 a.m., police located Headbird sleeping at a coffee shop in Bemidji. When questioned, she informed officers that the ring was at the Cass Lake pawn shop and declined to provide further information. She has been charged with felony theft.
