ST. PAUL, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In a final bid to solve the nearly 29-year-old mystery of missing Iowa news anchor Jodi Huisentruit, private investigator Steve Ridge has doubled the reward for information to $100,000. Ridge, who has been on the case since 2019, initially offered $25,000 in early 2023, increased it to $50,000, and recently raised it to $100,000. However, the offer is only valid until June 27, the 29th anniversary of her disappearance; afterward, the reward will revert to $50,000.
Ridge has no hope that Huisentruit, declared legally dead in 2001, is still alive. The substantial reward aims specifically to recover her remains. Ridge emphasized that the reward does not require an arrest or conviction, focusing solely on locating Huisentruit’s remains, which he believes is crucial to identifying her killer.
Despite extensive investigations and numerous theories, no solid suspects have emerged. Ridge, who has a personal connection to Huisentruit’s career, remains dedicated to the case. He hopes the increased reward will finally provide answers and bring closure to her family.
For decades, friends, family, and investigators have sought information about Huisentruit’s disappearance. Recent efforts include billboards, anniversary gatherings, and a dedicated podcast. The investigation remains active, and Ridge encourages anyone with information to contact the Mason City Police Department.
