🚮 Twin Valley Man Faces Felony for Illegal Dumping of Hazardous Waste

TWIN VALLEY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Joshua Jacob Jokinen of Twin Valley, Minnesota, is facing a felony charge for the illegal dumping of hazardous waste, along with a petty misdemeanor for unlawful disposal of garbage. The charges stem from an incident on June 20, 2024, when the Twin Valley Chief of Police was dispatched to the Norman County shop in response to illegal dumping at the recycling bins located on the property.

Upon arrival, the chief discovered a large pile of debris, including several mattresses, appliances, and rubbish. Notably, a refrigerator had a picture drawn by a child, which was signed by Jokinen’s girlfriend’s child. When questioned, Jokinen’s girlfriend admitted that her son had transported many of their belongings in a U-Haul from out of state. After the items were left outside and got wet, they were destroyed and subsequently discarded improperly.

The city had to expend significant resources to clean up the illegally dumped items, leading to Jokinen’s felony charge for hazardous waste unlawful disposal.
