VIRGINIA, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Jordan Lee Raati, 32, of Virginia, Minnesota, is facing serious charges after allegedly attacking two people with a knife and abducting a puppy from a residence last week. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday near Third Street South in Virginia. A 51-year-old man sustained stab wounds to his chest and abdomen, while a 44-year-old woman was cut on her forehead.
According to the criminal complaint, Raati, an acquaintance of the victims, went to the apartment to return a dog but became violent after an argument over a puppy. He allegedly slashed the woman’s face and stabbed the man multiple times before fleeing with the dog. Raati was later tracked down by authorities and arrested. He faces charges of aggravated first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree assault.
Raati, who is on supervised probation for a previous felony conviction, had his bail set at $50,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 26.
