Dennis Anthony Tibbetts Sr., 46, of rural Naytahwaush, faces felony second- and third-degree burglary charges after being caught on camera breaking into a residence in Rochert, Minnesota. On July 11, at around 4 a.m., Becker County sheriff’s officers responded to the property after surveillance footage showed Tibbetts and an accomplice entering the garage and taking items, including a TV.
Deputies arrived within 15 minutes and discovered stolen items missing from the home. Shortly after, a vehicle sped away from the scene, and the driver admitted she was there to pick up Tibbetts and his accomplice. Six hours later, Tibbetts and the other man were found walking along County Road 26, their wet clothing matching the individuals seen in the security footage.
Recovered items from the burglary included a Samsung TV, fireworks, tools, and other household belongings. Bail for Tibbetts was initially set at $20,000, but he posted $300 bond on August 18 and was released.
