VALLEY CITY, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – A Valley City man, who previously worked at the Open Door Center, is behind bars after being charged with luring minors by computer and indecent exposure.
Authorities say Adam Michael Liesener was arrested on January 27 and is awaiting his first court appearance in Barnes County on January 28.
According to court records, Valley City Police were tipped off on August 12, 2024, that Liesener had sent explicit images to minors. A North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) special agent located him at work on August 14 and executed a search warrant for his phone.
During questioning, Liesener admitted he was intoxicated when he met a group at a Valley City skate park. He became Snapchat friends with some of them, estimating their ages between 14 and 18 years old. He later sent a nude photo but insisted he had no physical contact with minors.
Although Liesener accompanied students from the Open Door Center to school, Valley City Schools Superintendent Josh Johnson confirmed he was never employed by the district. Once the allegations surfaced in August, Liesener was banned from school buildings and events.
